一、连接词

1. 含义：

主要考察连词的句内关系和副词的句间关系。

2. 类型：

3. 用法

(1) 并列连词

① 连接两个独立的句子时，前面常加逗号。

例如1：Tom likes eating chips, but John likes biscuits.

(but连接两个独立的句子时，前面常有逗号，后面常无逗号。)

例如2：Tom gave her some coupons, and he used it to buy some groceries.

(and在连接两个独立句子时，前面常有逗号，后面无。)

但若and后面有插入语时，可用逗号隔开。

例如3：Mary kicked the ball and, running fast, Tom chase it.

(and后面有插入语running quickly此时用逗号隔开。)

② 若连接的不是两个独立的句子，此时前后都不加逗号。

例如1：The athlete ran and jumped in the game.

(and连接的不是两个独立的句子，此时前后都不加逗号，因为ran and jumped是联合起来一起作the athlete的谓语，不可分隔。)

③ 在列举一系列的同等成分(三个及以上)时，并列前面常常用逗号隔开。

例如1：This dish contains chicken, curry and rice.

(在列举三项chicken, curry, and rice时，and在连接最后一项时，前面用了逗号。)
